Your business alreadyruns on a system.

Right now it lives in heads, spreadsheets and apps that don't talk. We build what it should run on, from one sharp tool to the whole operation. One senior lead stays with you from the first call to the last fix.

Sound familiar?

  • The quote spreadsheet only one person really understands.
  • The same job gets typed in three times: whiteboard, spreadsheet, Xero.
  • Your reps walk into meetings knowing less than your own systems do.
  • Machinery hours live in a logbook, and services get missed.
  • Contractors invoice by email, and nobody checks the hours against the jobs.
  • You bought software to fix it, and now you work around that too.
  • The software the whole place runs on was built years ago, and whoever built it is long gone.

Admin hours are the obvious cost. The bigger ones are the service that got missed, the hours nobody billed and the sales call made blind.

If off-the-shelf software will do the job, we'll tell you, and point you to it.

One job, or the whole operation.

Some businesses need one sharp tool. Some need the system everything runs on. We build both, and everything in between.

  1. One job

Fix the job that wastes the most hours.

A quoting app with your pricing rules built in. Dockets snapped on site and checked before the ute's back. A job board everyone can see on their phone.

  2. Connected

Make what you already run work together.

Software that works with what you already run: Autotask, Xero, MYOB, your Microsoft logins, and most other industry or custom systems, so information moves on its own. AI where it earns its keep: reading dockets, researching clients, writing the brief before the meeting.

  3. Whole operation

Build the system the business runs on.

When nothing off the shelf fits, the whole operating system: assets, people, jobs and money in one place, with an app for the office and one for the field. Or rebuild the one you've outgrown.

Already happy with Xero or MYOB? They stay your books. We connect to them, we don't replace them.

Two client systems from this year.

For an IT services company

Sales intelligence.

Every rep walks into every meeting already briefed. The system reads the client's history, what the CEO knows about selling, and what's happening at the company this week, then writes the prep pack.

Pulls from

  • Each company's history in Autotask
  • The CEO's own sales know-how
  • The open web, for news on each company

Does

  • Writes a prep pack before every meeting
  • Sends research agents out for company-specific detail
  • Takes questions by voice

Used on

  • A command app in the office
  • A field app for reps
  • Signed in with existing Microsoft logins

How a job runs.

Five steps. You know the price at step three, and nothing gets built until you say yes.

  1. Step 01.

    A phone call

Fifteen minutes. You tell us what's slowing the work down. If we can't help, we'll say so.

  2. Step 02.

    We come and see it

We watch how the job actually runs and look at the dockets, the spreadsheet, the whiteboard. Free in the South West. Perth by arrangement.

  3. Step 03.

    A fixed price, in writing

Plain English: what it'll do, what it won't, what it costs and when you'll have it.

    You get the price here

  4. Step 04.

Built in stages you can see

As each part is built, the latest version lands on your phone. Your crew tries it on real jobs and tells us what's wrong.

  5. Step 05.

    Handover

The code, the logins and plain-English notes are yours. Then 30 days of free fixes.

Step 04, on your screen

Every job gets its own project page.

What's being built now, what's next, what we're waiting on you for, the staging links, every document and every invoice. You're never chasing us for an update.

The client portal's project page for an example civil contractor: the stage being built now, the next stage, one thing waiting on the client, an open invoice, staging links and milestones.
Example project page with demo data. Not a client job.

One price, agreed before we write a line of code.

Every job is priced on its own. Single tools start from $5,000. Connected systems and whole operating systems are scoped first, then priced in stages, so you always know the number before the work starts.

  • Change your mind mid-build? We agree the change and its price in writing first. No meter running.
  • Pay in stages, as each part is working.
  • No per-user licence fees. Hosting is passed on at cost.
  • Support after handover is optional, monthly or by the hour.

Small studio, senior hands.

Systems. is a small studio in Bunbury. No account managers, no hand-offs, from the boardroom to the paddock. A senior lead runs your job from the first call to handover, and builds it with an AI-assisted pipeline. When it needs fixing, the same lead answers the phone.

  • Tested on every build: the receipt is at the bottom of this page
  • Documented in plain English
  • You own the code

We take on two or three jobs at a time, so yours gets proper attention.

Systems. is new, and we'd rather say so than pretend otherwise.

If your crew won't use it, it isn't finished.

  • The price is fixed. If it takes us longer than we said, that's on us.
  • You only pay for stages you've seen working.
  • 30 days of free fixes after handover for anything that doesn't do what we agreed.
  • You own the code, so you're never locked in to us.

Straight answers.

What happens if something happens to you?

Fair question to ask a small studio. You own the code, it's built on common, well-supported tools, and it's documented in plain English. Any competent developer can pick it up.

Is this just small apps?

No. Plenty of jobs start with one tool, but this year's builds include a sales intelligence platform and a full operating system for a farming enterprise. Scale is decided by the problem, not by us.

We've got old custom software nobody supports any more. Can you help?

Yes. We work out exactly what it does, every screen, report and odd rule your team relies on, and rebuild it on current, supported tools. Your data comes across, your people keep the way they work, and this time you own the code and it's documented.

Can it use AI?

Where it earns its keep: reading dockets, researching clients, preparing briefs, answering by voice. Not as a gimmick, and never guessing where it should be checking.

Will it work with our Microsoft logins and Autotask?

Yes. Staff sign in with the Microsoft accounts they already have, and Autotask is one of the systems we've built on. Others are usually possible; we'll confirm on the first call.

How long does it take?

A first working version is usually on your phone in 3–6 weeks. You'll see it running long before it's finished.

Will it work with Xero or MYOB?

Usually, yes. Both are built to connect to. We'll confirm for your setup on the first call.

Half our sites have no reception.

It can be built to work offline and catch up when it's back in range. Tell us where the dead spots are.

Do we have to change how we work?

No. We build around how you work now, then we fix the bits you want fixed.

Are you in Perth?

We're in Bunbury. We come out across the South West, and to Perth by arrangement. Most of the build happens here, and you see progress on your phone.

Bring us the spreadsheet everyone's scared to touch. Or the whole operation.

Tell us what's slowing the work down.

A couple of sentences is plenty. Every one is read by a senior lead, and you'll hear back within two working days.

Rather write it yourself? Email hi@bad-form.pro

How should we get back to you?

e.g. Our reps quote from a spreadsheet on the road and half the prices are out of date.

Free, no obligation.

What you send comes to us so we can get back to you. It's emailed to our inbox through Resend, an email service whose servers may be outside Australia. We don't sell it, share it or add you to a mailing list, and you can ask us to delete it any time. Privacy details.
